Write for us
Emerald Food Review welcomes thoughtful proposals about countryside food, seasonal produce, kitchen gardens, preserving and the traditions surrounding meals. Send proposals through the Contact page.
What makes a good pitch
Offer a clear subject, the question the piece will answer and why it matters to readers interested in food and place. A strong pitch has a distinct angle, respects regional differences and can be useful without relying on invented experience or unsupported claims.
Contributions we consider
We consider explainers, comparisons, background pieces, myth-checking and occasion-led features. Proposals should be original, clearly scoped and grounded in information that can be checked; avoid professional dietary or food-safety advice.
How to send it
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial enquiry option. Include a short outline and any relevant context. A proposal is not a commission, and no contributor credentials or publication arrangements should be assumed before they are agreed.
